Funeral services for Addie "Polly" Bivens, 83 of Marshall will be held at 2p.m., Sunday April 3, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle Creek Cemetery in Harleton. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Saturday April 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. Bivens passed away March 31, 2016 in Marshall.

Addie was born August 21, 1932 in Harleto to James Maddox and Abbie Jackson Maddox. On September 21, 1974 she married Jerry Lee Bivens in Harleton. Addie worked at Marshall National/ Bank One for 38 years before retiring. She was alo a daughter of the Nile Shriners organization.

Surviving Addie are her husband of 41 years, Jerry Bivens;two daughters, Aleesha Bivens and Jennifer Shaver and husband Scott; six grandchildren, John Freeman, Jesse Freeman, Troy Reaves, Taylor Cheramie, Tyler Bivens and Keelan Bergeron; eight great-grandchildren abd numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and step-son, Jerry Lee Bivens Jr.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Freeman, Jesse Freeman, Scott Shaver, Dawwin Cooper, Art Jones and Jimmy Bivens. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Covey and Frankie Tamplin.
