Funeral services for Ahleene Westmoreland Reavis, 95, of Marshall will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 31, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Rodger Garbs officiating. Burial will follow in Woodley Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Reavis passed away October 24, 2013 in Marshall. Ahleene Westmoreland Reavis was born October 14, 1918 in Van Vleck, Texas to Rupert Hall and Caroline McJimsey Westmoreland. Mrs. Reavis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marshall, and taught kindergarten classes in the church day school. She married Lewis Andrew Reavis Jr. (Bro. Andy) in June of 1937 in Elysian Fields, and he preceded her in death in November of 1989. Mrs. Reavis is survived by her children, Lewis Reavis and wife Molly of White Oak, TX, Rex Reavis and wife Alice of Beaumont, TX, Hall Reavis and wife Cheri of Marshall, TX, Martha Hill and husband Gary of Winona, TX; grandchildren, Kendall Reavis, Burt Reavis, Jim Reavis, Clay Reavis, Drew Hill, Lewis Hill, Westin Reavis, Brittney Hill, and Chase Reavis; 18 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; sisters, Annette Bell of Houston, TX, Elnora Wootton of Conroe, TX, Nancy Erbe of Rockford, IL; and 13 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reavis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, H.H. "Sonny" Westmoreland and her sisters, Mary Robins and Esther Rains. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
