A.J. Rogers was born August 16, 1951 in Shreveport, LA to Andrew Jackson Rodgers and Alice Mackey Rodgers. He was a graduate of Waskom High School and attended Panola College. A.J. married Loretta Young on March 10, 2008 in Waskom, Texas. He worked and managed Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts Store in Bossier City, LA for over 40 years. A.J. enjoyed college football and love working in his yard. He enjoyed good Gospel preaching and music. A.J. is survived by his wife Loretta Rodgers of Waskom; children, Wendy Hines, Brandy Hines, Christy Hines and husband, James, all of Hot Springs, AR, Dustin Aldredge and wife Lili of San Antonio, TX, Kim Hattaway of Shreveport, LA and Mindy Slade of New Boston, TX; brother, Jackie Rodgers of Waskom, TX; grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, Hannah, Tim, Hunter, Paige, Mikala, Alissa, Mikey, Josh, Bryan; great grandchild, Au'Brianna; nephew, Andy Rodgers of Elysian Fields, TX; his special canine babies, CJ and Allie; and other extended family and friends.
