Funeral services for Albert Johnson, 83, of Marshall and formerly of Fort Worth, TX will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Motley Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson passed away July 7, 2012 in Marshall. Albert Johnson was born December 1, 1928 in Waskom, TX to R.D. and Katie Lee Taylor Johnson, Sr. Mr. Johnson was in the U S Army, and served during the Korean War. He worked for Swift Food Company, now Con Agra Foods for 26 years. He also worked for Cookes Hospital for Children for 15 years. Mr. Johnson was married to Ora Lee Traylor Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Ora Lee Johnson of Ft. Worth; adopted son, DeRicki Johnson of Wenatcheo. WA; daughter, Adair Parks of Arlington; step-daughters, Artillia Akins, Rochelle Marshall, both of Ft. Worth, Ardalia Dionne Monroe of Arlington; step-son, Willie T. Jones of Ft. Worth; brothers, R.D. Johnson, Jr., Richard E. Johnson, both of Scottsville; sister, Doris M.Vittatoe of Scottsville; a number of nieces, nephews, a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents and two sisters.
