Alice Nell Oney was born on June 4, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas to Everette and Viola Croley and passed away on April 18, 2026, at her home in Marshall, Texas.

She was married to James William Oney on January 26, 1957, in Marshall, Texas. To this union three children were born, Laurie McClendon, Sherry Booth and Steve Oney. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved her dogs and reading books. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and was affectionately knows as "Ass" to all of her great grands.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Viola Croley; her husband of 50 years, J.W.; seven siblings, and great great grandson, William Beard as well as many loved animals.

She is survived by her children, Laurie McClendon, Sherry Booth and Steve Oney; grandchildren, Wendy Richardson, Stephaine Auvenshine, John Booth, Stacey White, Holly Oney, Jacob Oney and Allison Oney; great grandchildren, Kritina Richardson, Katelynn Beard, Cayson Oney, Caleb Staples, Scarlett White, Savannah White, Jazmyn Oney, Jayla Oney, Layla Oney, Mackenzie Oney, Mackenleigh Oney, Logan Oney, Hayes Oney and Hollis Oney and great great grandchildren, Tristian Williams, Beau Smith, Khyzer Booty, Kyler Booty, Kailan Booty and Ivyrie Beard along with other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Marshall Animal Shelter.
