Alice Marie Onic was born in Marshall, Texas on August 30, 1924 to Dave Taylor and Delilah Stevenson. She was the 7th child of 13 siblings.  Alice attended public school in Karnack, Texas.  In 1940 she married Curtis Onic, Sr. and together they had 10 children:  Carolyn, Curtis LaVerne, Tony, Jearlene, Curtis Jr., Jo Ann, Linda, Elmer, Ellis and Vickie.

Alice accepted Christ at an early age. She was united with West Side Church of Christ and later became a member Grand Way Church of Christ.  Alice participated in numerous positions and activities and was a faithful servant of the Lord.  To Alice's friends, church sisters and brothers she was known as loving, generous and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her greatest joys in life were the moments she spent with her children and their families.

Alice Marie Onic leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Tony Onic (Evelyn), Jearlene Winn, Curtis Onic, Jr. (Katherlene), Linda Woodley (Alex), Elmer Onic, Ellis Onic, Sr., Vickie Martin (Ivory), a sister Gladys Whitlow, 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
