Funeral services for Alice Annette Smith Storie, 66, of Marshall will be held 10:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Sam Buzzard officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Snow Hill Cemetery, betweem Daingerfield and Mt. Pleasant, TX. Interment will follow. Family and friends will have a time of visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Storie passed away February 6, 2013 in Longview, TX. Alice Annette was born March 13, 1946 in Naples, TX to Ottis Albert and Mary Alice Freeman Smith. Annette was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, and attended East Texas Baptist College. Annette married Teddie Storie on January 22, 1967 in Marshall. They had just celebrated 46 years of marriage. Annette was a customer service representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 13 years, was a member at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and had worked for 40 years as the pianist and church secretary for Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, interior decorating, making drapes and wedding veils. Annette is survived by her husband, Teddie Storie; daughter, Angela Storie; sons, Ted Storie, Terrie Storie, Michael Storie, all of Marshall; grandchildren, Amber Dickerson, Stephanie Dickerson, David McCarty, Shelby Storie, Dillon Storie, Dakota Storie, Dinah Storie, Kevin Storie, McKynleigh Storie, Asher Storie, Dalton Storie; great grandchildren, Kevyn Dickerson and Kyndal Wesweber. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Mary Alice Smith and her brother, William Smith. Pallbearers will be Steven Storie, Adam Arabie, Shawn Hagerty, Tom Bynum, Charles Wheeler Jr. and Scott Beesinger.
