Funeral services for Alicia Benefield, 19, of DeBerry, Texas, will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Brother Eric Wilburn officiating. Alicia passed away March 18, 2014. Alicia Benefield was born April 25, 1994 in Marshall, Texas to Tomekia Hudson and Aaron Benefield. She was a Carthage High School graduate with the Class of 2012. Alicia was a member of the Church of God in DeBerry. While in Carthage High School, she ran track and field, as well as, cross country. Alicia was employed by Tyson Foods. Surviving Alicia is her mother, Tomekia Hudson of DeBerry; father, Aaron Benefield, Sr. of DeBerry; sisters, Tanesha of DeBerry, Kabre Benefield, LaTaya Benefield, both of Deadwood; brothers, Aaron Benefield, Jr. of DeBerry, Isaiah Benefield, Eric Benefield, both of Deadwood; paternal grandfather, Joe Benefield; paternal grandmother, Betty Jeter; material grandfather, Curley Hudson, Sr.; numerous other relatives and friends. Alicia was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Wanda Ree Hudson.
