Anita Florine Allen, 80, of Marshall passed away September 26, 2014 at her residence in Marshall. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Floyd Milton Allen and Nadine Millie Morrison Allen. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Eastern Star. She moved to Marshall four years ago from Petaluma, California. She worked as a secretary for J.C.Penney's. Anita is survived by her children, Dianna L. Thurston & husband, J. Steven of Marshall, and Douglas Floyd Allen & wife, Paige of Santa Rosa, California. Also surviving Ms. Allen are her grandchildren, T. Aaron Thurston, Adriel Joy Thurston, Kurtis Allen, and Karissa Allen. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Downs Funeral Home of Marshall.
