A funeral service for Mrs. Anita Jane Bolander will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Bro. Buddy Killion will officiate the service. Interment will follow immediately after the service going to Scottsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Anita Jane Bolander, 91, of Marshall, Texas was born on September 9, 1929 to her parents, William H. Harkins and Alyne Merrell. Mrs. Bolander passed away on January 4, 2021 in Marshall, Texas. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for over thirty years. She also worked at their family store in Scottsville during her time at Bell and after retiring from Bell. Mrs. Bolander is a former member of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bolander is survived by her children, Teresa (Teri) Lambert of Marshall, Donald (Blake) Bolander of Marshall, and Tamera (Tami) Davis of Texarkana; her black lap puppy, Ellie; grandchildren, Brooke Bolander, Briscoe Davis, and Lexi Davis; special friends, Chelsea Tucker and Jaz Johnson. Mrs. Bolander is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don R. Bolander.
