A funeral service for Annie "Jewel" Broadnax, 64 of Karnack, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Karnack, Texas.

Annie "Jewel" Jones Broadnax, daughter of the late Orie Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Gertie Hood Jones was born on February 5, 1958, in Karnack, Texas. She departed this life on July 11, 2022, at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.

She attended and graduated from Karnack Schools. She married Robert Broadnax on June 28, 1984. She went to work at Thiokol Corp. building missiles and ammo. She late became a guard at the facility.

Those left to treasure her memory are: Robert Broadnax-husband, two daughters-Jenee' Broadnax and Jalisha Broadnax, two siblings-Gussie Durham (Phillip) and Orie Jones, Jr. (Mary), one grandson-Ja'Maurie Williams, nieces/nephews-Paula McCain, Brandy Durham, Ronald Durham, Dasmon Jones, Chelsea Carroll, Cassandra James, Andrea James, Darrell James and Oriel Alexander along with many more family and friends who loved her dearly.
