A funeral service for Annie "Nana" Woods, 85, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery in Harleton, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2024, at the funeral home.

Annie was born on April 10, 1938, in Marshall, Texas to Roy Roe Oney and Bessie Marie Clark Oney and passed away on January 30, 2024, in Marshall.

She was a good cook, loved food and traveling. She loved shopping on the weekends looking for sales and then eating afterwards. She would remember the recipe by taste and then would try to make it herself at home. She loved working outdoors in her garden and flowers. She had a bleeding heart and would always help others. She was a woman that had no quit in her. She was a supervisor and aide for the MHMR shelter workshop. She had a huge heart for children with major disabilities and was always there to make their day brighter. Most of all she loved her children, grandkids and family.

She was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Austin Wayne Jones and James Leonard Woods; sons, Steven Roe Jones, Jimmy Woods and Chuck Woods; sisters, Betty Leonard and husband, John and Bonnie Floyd and husband, Jack and brother-in-law, Calvin McBride.

She is survived by her children, Roger Wayne Jones and wife, Suzanne and Alicia Ann Ratcliff and husband, James Ratcliff III; daughter-in-law, Shelly Lafleur and husband, Grant; brother, Phillip Oney; sisters, Wanda Joyce McBride and Linda Marie Cochran and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Jones and Crissy Watson, Casey Austin Jones and wife, Heather, Ashley Ann Grogan and husband, Derek, Taylor Nicole Jones and fiancé, Alex Avita, Austin Garrett Ratcliff, Casey Leigh Landry and husband, Donnie, Jaime Ratcliff and wife Ronni, Patrick Scott Ratcliff and wife, Lauren, Angie Pitts and husband, Craig, Michael Woods and wife, Kay and Mitchell Woods and wife, Jena and great grandchildren, Kamryn Ratcliff, Kennedi Fitzgerald, Gracie Mae Ratcliff, Bowen Ratcliff, Andrew Grogan and Mia Grace Grogan along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
