Funeral services for Arlyne Hensley, 72, of Marshall will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Ms. Hensley passed away Saturday morning, February 1st at her residence in Marshall. Arlyne was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 26, 1941. She worked at Ward Restaurant and Bob's Hickory House, and in later years as a caregiver. She is survived by her daughter Joy Hoffmann and husband Mark of Longview; sons, Luke Davis and wife Angela of Woodlawn, Billy Brown of Marshall, Barny Davis of Marshall, and Sonny Davis of Lovelady; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Ms. Hensley are her best friend, Pat Read; sister, Gail Terrell and husband Loyd; brothers, Jack Steele and Charles Steele, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Steele, Ludie Berry, Charles Davis, Henry Hensley, and son Link Davis. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Kevin and Conor Hoffmann, Cody and Chad Davis, Colton and Dillon Davis, and David Warwick.
