Funeral services for Arthur E. Bagley, 86, of Elysian Fields, TX, will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Coburn and Rev. Brian Bagley officiating. Interment will follow in Panola Mt. Zion Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Bagley passed away January 31, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. Arthur Bagley was born November 1, 1927 in Elysian Fields, TX to William Elbert Bagley and Maude Adele Oden Bagley. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Bagley was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for over 30 years. He was Past Master of the R.A. Tompkins Lodge #1254. Mr. Bagley married Mary Helen England on December 25, 1950 in Waskom, TX. Surviving Mr. Bagley are his wife, Mary Bagley of Elysian Fields, TX; sons, Terry Bagley and wife Diana of Fairfield, TX, Bill Bagley and wife Becky of Shreveport, LA; and daughter, Brenda Parker and husband Perry of Shreveport, LA. Pallbearers will be Mr. Bagley's grandsons, Perry Parker, Jr., Brian Bagley, Ben Bagley, Cody Bagley, Will Almond, Matt McGee and Jon Hall
