Arthur Martin (A. M.) Goode, Sr., 90 of Marshall was born February 9, 1926 in Beckville, Texas to Jacob Brewer Goode and Celuda Clara Neel Campbell. He passed away on July 30, 2016 in Marshall, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

A.M. Goode worked 44 years for T & P Railroad. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He had an accounting and tax service business in Marshall for a number of years.

He is survived by his children, Celuda Weems of Waskom, Elease Davis of Marshall, and Martin Goode and wife, Jill, also of Marshall; siblings, Faye Williams of Kilgore, Nava Jones and husband, Jerry of Tennessee, and brother-in-law, William Smith of Longview; grandchildren, Michael Weems, Jennifer Hayes, Dusti Calhoun, and Kimberly Hopkins; nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Annie Marie Goode; brother, Marvin Goode, and sisters, Marty Hamby and Frances Noble.
