A visitation for Asa Wilson, 58, of Gilmer, Texas will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas.

Asa was born on November 22, 1964, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Loy and Ima Wilson and passed away on February 18, 2023, in Longview, Texas.

He attended school at Deer Park High School and then went to work for Brown & Root for many years before complications from diabetes forced him to retire. He liked doing woodwork in his shop while listening to his music. He enjoyed being outdoors doing yard work and spending time with his animals.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Ima Wilson, brother Shane Wilson, grandparents Jim & Cloteal McCurry and Wallace & Sweetie Wilson.

He is survived by wife Michele Wilson of Gilmer; father Loy Wilson of Deer Park; brothers Heath Wilson (Debbie) of Ore City, Brook Wilson (Lynn) of Houston; daughters Jennifer Lansdale, Aleisha (Joseph) Crocker and Lauren; grandchildren Addison, Hunter, Tristen, and Layla; Aunt Terry (Dennis) of Gilmer; cousin Alisha; Nephew & Nieces, Jonathan Wilson, Jessica Wilson, & Jenna Wilson along with a host of family and friends.

The family request donations in Asa's name to be made to one of the following Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Concord Baptist Church Building Fund Gilmer, TX or Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund Diana, TX.
