A private family service for Barbara Brooks, 60, of Marshall, Texas will be held at a later date provided by the family.

Barbara was born on February 13, 1964, in Memphis, Tennessee to Elmer Wayne Brooks and Carol Jenice Pasley Brooks and passed away on May 14, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family.

She worked for thirty plus years at Catfish Express both in the restaurant and catering. She worked non-stop to provide for and spoil her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed going on vacations and watching HGTV. She lived a simple life and just enjoyed being a provider for her family. Most of all she loved her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Wayne Brooks and son Joey Dennis Jefcoat.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Gowen; son, Billy Wayne Jefcoat; daughter, Carol Ann Sallee; sisters, Tammie Nelson, Lisa Sheffer and Tina Woods and husband, Orin; grandchildren, Allen Sallee, Abbie Jefcoat, Kasey Wayne Jefcoat, Makayla Sallee and Tucker Wayne Jefcoat and bonus family, Randy and Betsy Cox and all the Catfish Express Family along with other family and friends.
