Ben Nichols III, age 59, of Marshall, TX was called to be with his Heavenly Father February 24, 2012, in Marshall at his home. A memorial will be held at 7:00 p.m. at The Church In Marshall. Ben Nichols was born July 17, 1952, in Yuma, Arizona. Ben served 11 years in the military service; four years of which were spent in the United States Army. He served in the National Guard and was a Radio Officer for the United States Merchant Marines. He specialized in Electronic Technology. He retired with a rank of Spec. 4 with an honorable discharge. Many know him as KKGAS U.S. Federal Communications Amateur Ham Radio operator. Above all, Ben Nichols served his Heavenly Father. He was a member of The Church In Marshall for several years, with his wife Bobby Nichols ever by his side. Ben is survived by his daughters, Michelle Riley, Gwen Velotta and Leah Nichols; his wife, Bobby Kay who awaits her turn to join him and once again be together in the presence of our one and only God,the Almighty.
