A funeral service for Bernice Lorene Mann, 99, of Marshall, TX, will be held Saturday, December 02, 2017 at 2:00p.m., in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Johnston and Raymond Moore officiating. Visitation with family and friends will take place Friday, December 01, 2017 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m., at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Mann passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 with her loving family by her side.

Bernice Lorene Mann was born on April 24, 1918 in Fordyce, AR to Edmond Augusta Wood and Pearl Augusta Gill. Mrs. Mann married the love of her life, Thurman Mann on June 18, 1938 in Bearden, AR. She was a member of the Baptist Temple of Waskom, TX. Mrs. Mann was a homemaker who loved her grandchildren and family dearly. Mrs. Mann loved sewing, gardening, cooking and watching the cooking channel in her free time. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.

Surviving Mrs. Mann are her sons, William Ronald Mann, Stanley Mann and wife, Shelli; daughters, Frances Y. Mann, Linda Osborne and husband, David, Freda Vess, Fonda Carroll and husband, Cary, Janice Delzell and husband, Mike, and Phyllis Voyles. Also surviving Mrs. Mann are her (18) grandchildren, (24) great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thurman Mann and son in-law Bob Vess.
