Betty Lou Clough, the daughter of the late Nathaniel Earl Clough and Herrice Devenport-Clough, was born on September 10, 1944, in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Paradise Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas and attended other churches. She attended Marshall Public School.

Betty Lou Clough departed this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Marshall, Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three sisters, Hattie Ramsire of Marshall, Texas and Annie Porter and Margaret Goodwin of Longview, Texas; five brothers, Willie (Dorothy) Clough Sr., Izia Clough Sr., James (Yvonne) Clough, Henry Clough all of Marshall, Texas and Andrew (Cornelia) Clough Sr. of Leander, Texas; two step children, Robert Dean Jr. and Sandra Dean; two godchildren, Tyah Green and Gavin Irving and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2204, at the funeral home.
