Betty Pauline Haden Foshee Stowe was born August 26, 1935 to J.B. Haden, Sr. and Cora Lee Briggs in Marshall, Texas. She attended Grange Hall Schools in a one room building and Pemberton Sr. High in Marshall.  She worked in a family diner at the very early age of 10. She met and married H.C. Foshee from Wichita Falls on November 5, 1951.  They had two children.  Following her divorce she later met W.J. Stowe in 1958 and they married and they had five children.  After her 2 ^nd divorce in 1974 she worked at numerous manufacturing companies, Hogan & Scarborough, Woodlawn Manufacturing, Anvil Products & ETC.  She finally settled down at Harrison County Landfill that was later Harrison County Disposal Container Site which was known as the "Hallsville Dump".  She retired in 2015 after twenty-eight years.

Ms. Stowe passed away September 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. (Shorty) and Cora Lee (Aunt Pug) Haden, and also by two brothers, Robert Morgan and James Hilliard.  She is survived by two brothers, J.B. Haden, Jr. and Richard Lee Haden; a sister, Patricia Hulene Read; one special uncle, Billy Bob Briggs; seven children, Paula (Benny) Tullos of Gilmer, Linda Dianne Foshee of Phoenix, AZ, Cassandra (aka Cindy) Oden of Hallsville, Jay Stowe (Cindy Ashcroft) of Hallsville, Daniel (Penny) Stowe, Richard Earl Stowe of Hallsville, and Sammy Lee Stowe of Hallsville; twelve grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph King officiating. A time of Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, September 10 ^th at the Downs Funeral Home in Marshall.
