Graveside services for Betty Jo Foster, 82 of Marshall will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday July 3, 2014 in Grange Hall Cemetery with Rev. Craig Vanbiber officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Foster passed away June 29, 2014 in Marshall. Betty Jo Foster was born May 15, 1932 in Marshall to Hosie Jewel Jones and Hazel C. Cleveland Jones. On April 29, 1949, she married Elton W. Foster who preceded her in death in 2008. She was a member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Surviving Betty are her daughter, Debra Shields of Marshall ; grandchildren, Chris Shields and Blake Shields both of Marshall; great-granddaughters, Natalie Shields, Harlie Shields and Haiden Shields all of Marshall and one sister, Carolyn Lindsay and husband Walter of Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton W. Foster; brother, Bobby Jones and son-in-law, David Shields.
