Betty Jo Humphries passed away Monday December 26, 2016 after a prolonged illness. She was 90 years old. Betty was born February 2, 1926 near Sweetwater Texas, to George and Iva Thomas, moving to Marshall Texas in 1940. She married E.J. Humphries in 1945.

Betty loved her time spent traveling with her husband E.J. She had the most amazing green thumb and could make anything grow! Betty loved to visit! All you had to do was ask her about her kids and Grandbabies and she would brag about them for as long as you would listen!

Betty was preceded in death by her husband E.J., her parents George and Iva Thomas, son John Eddie Humphries, sister Jaynelle Thomas, sister Ada Lee Langley, brother Bobby Thomas, Brother Dorsey Thomas, and Granddaughter Donna Humphries. Also, Granddaughter Angel Duncan, great-great grandson Gaius (E.J.) Humphries, and grandson in law Tim Pogue. She is survived by her brother Bill Thomas (Vivian), sister-in-law Mildred Thomas, son Lee Humphries (Mary), daughter Judy (Pounds) Humphries, son Tommy Humphries (Jean). Grandchildren Dawn Humphries, Troy Humphries, Joe (Brooke) Humphries, Jennifer Pogue, Heather Humphries, Amber Humphries (James Torgerson), Tina (Clint) Coyne, Judson (Susan) Strawbridge, Harold (Savannah) Duncan. 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren numerous Neices and Nephews and Cousins.
