A funeral service for Betty Johnson, 73, of Karnack, TX, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Karnack. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home.. Betty Davis Johnson was born March 24, 1942 in Karnack, TX to Bonnie Davis and Arelia Smith Davis. She was a restaurant cook for a number of years. She passed away August 1, 2015 at Heritage House in Marshall. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sister, Annie C. Esters of Karnack; aunt, Deborah Thompson of Texarkana; daughter, Detra Webb; son, Gary Blackshere; brother-in-law, Alvoid Pilot, Jr.; a number of nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends. Preceding Mrs. Johnson in death were her parents; husband; sisters, Bonnie Mary Pilot, Quillie McGlothen, Rachel May, Dorothy Davis; and brother, Willie Davis.
