Betty Nell Tucker was born July 5, 1947 in Harrison County Texas to the late Lovis Rowl and Birdie (Frierson) Rowl. She passed away peacefully at her home, Wednesday, August 26, 2015. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11a.m. in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas. Betty attended Marshall public schools and was a graduate of Pemberton High School in 1966. After graduating, Betty spent a lifetime caring for children at Kiddie Kollege and All My Children Daycare before retiring in 2008. Ms. Tucker was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovis Rowl and Birdie (Frierson) Rowl. She leaves to cherish her memory, her goddaughters, Scholonda Alford and Chinese Wilson; five adopted grandkids; her godmother, Mrs. Pearlie Cole; god-siblings, Roslon, Deon, Clifford Jr., Charlotte and Angie; a very special sister, Joycelyn Johnson and a special brother, Frank Wilson.
