On  April 7, 2021, Bettye Simmons Grable passed away at the age of 82.

Bettye was born May 5, 1938 in Marshall, Tx to Thelma and Paul Barnes.

Bettye was a spirited mother, loving grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She is remembered by countless people as to how much fun she was to be around. Her contagious laugh was admired. She has been described as a "hoot"; "class act"; "sweet lady with a warm smile"; from those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved all things that glittered and sparkled and her relationship with God was as close as anyone could have here on Earth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Raymond Simmons; two brothers, Thomas and James Barnes; and husband David Grable.

She is survived by her children, Terri Simmons of Bossier City, LA; Beth Simmons of Richmond, TX; Mike (Erin) Grable of Waskom, TX; Steve Grable of Scottsville, TX; grandchildren, Adam (Katie) Woodley of Elysian Fields, TX; Ashton (Dustin) Miller of Fulshear, TX; Matthew Botzong of Houston, TX and Jacob Riddle of Richmond, TX; great grandchildren, Judd Woodley of Elysian Fields, TX; Keegan Miller, Sadie Faye Miller and Tate Miller of Fulshear, TX and grandchildren Steven Grable II, Tim Grable, Hannah Grable, and David Wayne Cole.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 9, 2021.
