Private funeral services for Bettye Don Graves, 84 of Marshall were held Wednesday, August 30, 2011 in Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Bob Bryant officiating. Bettye Don Graves passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home in Marshall. She was born December 31, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Clyde D. Bartlett and Bettye Loring Bartlett. On July 05, 1946 she married Dr. Johnson Pace Graves who preceded her in death in 2007. They were blessed with six children. Bettye was a member of First United Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving Bettye are three daughters, Johnnie L. Diem and husband Fred of Addison, TX, Larin D. Graves of Taos, NM, and Cecilia Pace Ford and husband Jim of Tomball, TX; three sons, Bartlett E. Graves of Baton Rouge, LA, Reed H. Graves and wife Ruby of Duncanville, TX, and Gideon Johnson Graves of Terrell, TX. Also surviving Bettye are thirteen grandchildren, Angela J. Landry and husband Darren, Newton L. Diem and wife Delain, Gwendolyn N. Diem, Paige H. Diem, Alicia Pace Graves, Todd Bartlett Graves and wife Gwen, Allison Graves, Alexandra J. Graves, George R. Schurman, III and wife Christy, Brenton E. Schurman and wife Ragan, Kyla Pace Harris, Shay L. Harris, and Nicklaus C. Graves and twelve great-grandchildren.
