Bill Peteet, age 76, of Harleton, TX, died Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Born October 23, 1942, in Marshall, TX, he was the son of the late Edward Lee Peteet and Elizabeth Potter Peteet.  Bill was a teacher of mathematics and football coach at Denton High School.  Throughout his 30+ years teaching and coaching he left an imprint on many lives.  In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, fishing and hunting,

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Linda Peteet and is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sherry Peteet.  He is survived by son Kyle, wife Amy and their three children; Sawyer, Chaney, and Berkley; his son Mark, wife Christina and their two children Savannah and Archer; his sister Martha Wise, husband Bob.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall, TX.  Burial will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, TX.  In lieu of flowers, the family request, a donation to American Cancer Society.
