Graveside services for Billie Jean LaGrone, 72, of Hallsville, TX, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Canaan Cemetery with Rev. James Williams officiating. Interment will follow. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at Downs Funeral Home. Billie Jean Webb LaGrone was born February 12, 1943, in Marshall, Texas to Grady Webb and Addie Mae Sands Webb. She attended Marshall Public Schools, and was a graduate of H.B. Pemberton High School. Mrs. LaGrone was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening and working with flowers, cooking and taking care of her grandkids. She passed away June 17, 2015 at her home. Surviving Mrs. LaGrone are her children, Sandra Webb Day (James), Douglas Webb (Bibiana), Danyell Tatum (Patrick); siblings, Dorothy Williams (James), Robert Webb (Annie K.), Claude Webb (Yvonne), Grady Webb (Barbara), Brady Webb (Melissa); 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Joe E. LaGrone.
