Billy
Strong
Sep 1, 1958 — Nov 11, 2025
Marshall
A memorial service celebrating the life of Billy Strong, 67, of Marshall, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall.
Billy was born on September 1, 1958, in Orange, Texas, to Billy and Fran Strong. He went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Billy shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Karrie Strong. Their marriage was filled with laughter, adventure, and deep love that never wavered. He was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures — fishing, hiking, traveling, and cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. A true craftsman at heart, Billy loved fixing things and could always figure out how to make something work.
Music was a lifelong passion for him. Whether playing guitar or performing with one of the many bands he joined through the years, he found happiness in sharing music with others. Billy also had a special place in his heart for his "fur-babies," his loyal Great Dane, Sunny, and his cat, Archie.
Billy was known for his generous spirit and steadfast faith. If someone needed help he was there — no questions asked. Even as his health declined, his faith never faltered, and he continued to be a source of strength and encouragement to those around him. His kindness, humility, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all, Billy's greatest joy was his family. He deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and they, in turn, loved him beyond measure.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Billy Strong, and his sisters, Kathy Strong and Brynda Strong.
He is survived by his mother, Fran Strong; his loving wife, Karrie Strong; his children, Casey Strong and wife Leslie, and Crista Hood and husband Justin; his brothers, Ricky Strong and Randy Strong; grandchildren, Ryan Strong, TJ Hood, Alexander Hood, and Miles Hood; his nephew, Bryce Strong; and a host of dear family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Billy will be remembered for his faith, his kindness, and his unwavering love for others. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Billy's honor to Cypress Valley Bible Church of Marshall.
