On May 11, 1979 Bobby united in holy matrimony with Diane Booker Clark, who was the love of his life, his backbone and lifeline. On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, just 2 months and 2 weeks after the passing of his wife Bobby Joe departed this earth. To this union one child was born. He is preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Jesse "Chuck" Clark and Kenneth Wayne Clark.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Bobbie (Corey) Hurd and Melanie Long, and one son Jermon Clark. Two grandsons Kacye Hurd and Shemar Jones and Granddaughter Morgan Hurd. His loving mother Myrtle Clark, devoted brother, Ernest Leon Clark and faithful sister Sondra (Donnie) Wilder. Nieces , Michelle Barnett, Kristy Wilder and Tasha Wilder, nephews Kenny Clark, Sheldon Clark, Eric Booker and David Drew Booker. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
