A funeral service for Bobby Ray "Bob" Gore, 72, will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 07, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00am, Saturday, March 08, 2025, at Denison Cemetery in Idabel, Oklahoma where a graveside service will be ministered by Reverend Leroy Beam. Visitation with family and friends will take place from 5:00 – 7:00pm, Thursday, March 06, 2025, at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.

Bobby Ray Gore was born June 12, 1952, in Pittsburg, Texas, to parents TG & Francis Gore. Bob was a graduate of Winona High School and furthered his education at Texas Junior College where he received an associate's degree in electrical engineering. After graduation, Bob went on to work for Oncor Electric providing them with 51½ of years of dedicated service prior to his retirement.

Thirty-three years ago, Bob married the love of his life, Janine Green. Bob and Janine shared their love of our Lord attending regular church services and aiding with the children's ministry. For more than 30 years, Bob volunteered and assisted with vacation bible school activities where he was able to share his love of Christ with local youth. Family was important to Bob, and he treated his extended family as if they were his own. Bob was always there for his niece, Brittney, who was like a daughter to him, and her children were loved as if they were his grandchildren. Bob will be remembered, as a kind, giving, and most importantly, a loving man who was always there to support those close to him. Bob passed away Monday, March 03, 2025, with his wife, Janine by his side.

Surviving Bob is his loving wife, Janine Gore; brothers, Glenn Gore, wife, Vickie, and Mark Gore; nieces, Brittney Oney and husband, Kyle, Patti Otwell and husband, Billy, and Kimberly Gore; great-nieces, Elaina Griffin, Dovie Oney, Brooklynn Oney, and Hanna Otwell; and one great-nephew, Bradley Otwell.  Preceding Bob in death were his parents, TG and Francis Gore.
