A funeral service for Bobby Earl Moore, 77, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Yates Cemetery in Scottsville, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the funeral home.

Bobby was born on December 2, 1945, in Marshall, Texas to Earlton Moore and Beatrice Mills Moore and passed away on May 13, 2023, in Jefferson, Texas.

He served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam war, where he was a recipient of The Purple Heart. He worked as a truck driver for Gulf Coast Transport. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his corvette and his four pugs. Most of all he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earlton and Beatrice Moore; his wife, Carol; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

He is survived by his children, Shannon Burns and husband, Bradley and Robert Brian Moore; grandchildren, Brady Burns, Brooke Burns and Natalie Moore; sisters, Mary Rutledge and Beatrice "Bebe" Willet and husband, Walt along with a number of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
