Graveside services for Bobby G. Turrentine, 86, of Karnack, TX will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Kilgore, TX with Father McClaskey officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Turrentine passed away July 14, 2013 in Marshall. Bobby Turrentine was born April 4, 1927 in Shreveport, LA to Joseph S. and Carrie Eunice Heath Turrentine. Bobby was a member of St. Pauls in Leigh, TX and the VFW in Jefferson. He was an avid fisherman and a committed family man. Bobby is survived by his wife Nancy Turrentine; sons, Danny Lee Turrentine and wife Janice of Pittsburg, TX and daughter Theresa, Stephen Glenn Turrentine and wife Nannette of Hackberry, TX and daughters Deanna and Trisha, Mark Wayne Turrentine and wife Myra of Pine Mills, TX and children Tiffany, Tyler and Lance; daughter-in-law, Nita Turrentine of Arlington, TX and son Robert; 15 great grandchildren; his beloved companion, Honey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Joe, Billy and Jackie Turrentine and son, Dick Roland Turrentine.
