A memorial service for Bonnie Hollis Boyd, 69, of Marshall will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Father Denzil Vithanage officiating. A time of visitation will be held 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Boyd passed away August 31, 2012 in Jefferson. Bonnie Hollis Boyd was born August 13, 1943 in Karnack, TX to John Jimmie and Mary Ellen Bohnomie Hollis. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Boyd enjoyed painting, traveling and shopping. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. Bonnie Boyd is survived by her husband, William A. "Bud" Boyd; daughter, Penny Sherrouse; son, Kent Boyd; brothers, James Hollis and Bobby Hollis, all of Marshall; sister, Judy Williams of Jacksonville, TX; brother-in-law, Robert Boyd; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
