Mr. Murrell passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home.

Bonnie was born June 26, 1935 in Marshall, Texas to Raymond C. Murrell and Willie Mae Rowe Murrell. He began his career at the early age of 14, when his dad died. At that time, he quit school to go to work and help provide for his mom. He began working at Borden's and continued until they realized he was too young to be working. He left there and began working at Guillory's Grocery Store on E. Grand in Marshall. He loved working for Mr. Guillory and often told stories from his 14 years at the store. He left in 1964 and went to work for Marathon LeTourneau in Longview. He remained there until an industrial accident forced his retirement in 1994. Bonnie married the love of his life, Betty J. McCullars, on June 21, 1957. Together they raised their family and faithfully attended church at Grange Hall Baptist in Marshall, where Bonnie served as a Deacon for many years. For the past 10 years, Bonnie has made Mulberry Springs Baptist his home church and even though unable to attend in the latter years, his thoughts and prayers were always with the Church family. Bonnie is survived by 3 children: Eddie Murrell of Marshall; Carolyn Allen and husband Wayne of White Oak; and William "Bill" Murrell and wife Jessica of Diana. Bonnie loved and adored his 10 grandchildren and his 7 great-grandchildren, who all loved their Pawpaw. Bonnie is preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Murrell; father, Raymond C. Murrell; mother, Willie Mae Murrell; brother, Clifford R. Murrell; and sister, Eva Pearl Murrell.

Bonnie believed in hard work, living his life as God commands, and serving others with a giving heart. He believed in discipline and respect, but he also taught and showed so much love and compassion.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Texas Home Health Hospice for their assistance and comfort in our time of need.
