A funeral service for Brad W. "PaPa" Watson, 68 of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the funeral home. Mr. Watson passed away on December 3, 2024, in Marshall, Texas.

Brad was born on September 28, 1956, in Marshall, Texas to Jimmy Richard Watson and Melba Jean Smith Watson and passed away on December 3, 2024, in Marshall, Texas.

He loves airplanes, fishing, frog gigging, racing cars and motorcycles and even worked in the pit crew. He loved Reba McIntire, eating at Big Pines Lodge and loved to joke, tease and pick on people. He loved tinkering on things and was good at figuring things out. His rottweilers were his pride and joy. He loved his granddaughter, and he loved the Lord and to read his Bible.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy R. Watson and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Miller Watson; his mother Melba Watson Anderson and husband, Dub; daughter, Tammy Freeman and husband, Charles; brother, Ron Watson and wife, Sheila; granddaughter, Camryn Freeman; niece, Kasey Watson; nephews, Tyler Watson and Justin Watson and wife, Miranda Sage and great nephew, Garrell Wood along with other family and friends.
