Brian Christopher
Workman
Jul 4, 1973 — Sep 6, 2025
Marshall
Brian Christopher Workman, 52, passed away September 6, 2025, at his home in Marshall, Texas. Born in Marshall on July 4, 1973, Brian was a proud, lifelong resident of the local community. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1992 and worked several years as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut. Known as "Uncle B" to the children in his life and "Workman" to his friends, Brian was deeply devoted to his loved ones. A close second to them was his love of football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Brian never missed a game nor an opportunity to critique decisions by the coaches, referees, and players. Additionally, Brian attended Cypress Valley Church and recently celebrated seven years since accepting Christ as his savior.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewel and Mildred Workman, Arch and Barbara Starr, his aunts Marion Robison and Martha Raabe, and uncle, Martin Raabe.
Brian is survived by his parents, Cary and Laurel Workman of Marshall, brother Jason Workman and wife Glenna of Hallsville, sister Jennifer Workman and fiancé Andy Birss of Longview, niece Meadow Workman of Dallas, and nephews August Workman of Waco and Van Workman of Hallsville. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunt, Margaret Rackler and her husband John of San Antonio; cousins Todd Raabe and wife Vicki of Whitehouse, Texas; Tracy Fossler and husband Doug of Lucas, Texas; Leigh Anne Rayburn and husband Chris of Houston; Paige Taylor of San Antonio; and Amanda Bell and husband Josh of Arlington, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Botzong, Tim Trahan, Buddy Jackson, Robbey Simmons and Carlos Ollison.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Cypress Valley Bible Church and/or Marshall Humane Society.
