Bruce "Ty" McKinnon was born May 22, 1956 in Marshall to Bruce Maynard McKinnon, Sr. and Eula Olive Fruchey. Ty graduated from Marshall High School. He worked for the City of Marshall as manager of Oak Lawn Golf Course for a number of years. Ty married Debbie on January 22, 1999 in Marshall, TX. Ty was a full time minister at Bethel United Methodist Church in Elysian Fields, TX. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Ty enjoyed fellowshipping with his friends and family, and he really enjoyed cooking. He was an inspiration to many and never met a stranger. Ty passed away October 14, 2012 in Longview. Ty McKinnon is survived by his wife, Debbie McKinnon of Marshall; daughter, Sarah Binotti of Marshall; mothers, Eula Fruchey of Arkansas, Agnes McKinnon of Marshall; brothers, John and Jill McKinnon of Marshall, Stan and Sally Fruchey of West Virginia, Lynn and Regina Fruchey of Arkansas; sisters, Donna and Paul Bradley of Marshall, Denise and Danny Andrews of Arkansas; grandchildren, Ally Riddle of Waskom and Lola Faith Starr of Marshall. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ty was preceded in death by his father, Bruce McKinnon, Sr; father-in-law, Howard Hopkins; and son, Blair Binotti.
