Graveside service for Cal Thompson, 69, of Marshall, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Blocker Cemetery in the Blocker Community. Jim Ames will officiate. Mr. Thompson passed away Thursday, February 09, 2012. Cal Junior Thompson was born March 2, 1942 in Harrison County to Cal Clinton and Mary Frances Arnauld Thompson. In 1965, he married Katie Lawrence. They were blessed with one son, Rodney Thompson. Mr. Thompson was owner and operator of Thompson Roofing Company. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and story-telling. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie Lawrence Thompson of Marshall; son, Rodney Thompson of Marshall; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald Ray and Brenda Thompson of Shreveport; and his nieces and nephews.
