A funeral service for Camri MaKayle Johnson, 26, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Louisiana Building in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow at Motley Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home. Ms. Johnson passed away on October 16, 2023, in Marshall, Texas.

Camri was born to Eddie Johnson and CaSandra Johnson on January 13, 1997. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church and often attended St. John Baptist Church.

She graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 2015. She was attending Colorado Christian University and was set to graduate in December of 2024. She worked with Mr. Cooper Home Loan and Refinance Company.

Mourning her loss and cherishing her memory are her mother and father, CaSandra and Eddie Johnson of Marshall, TX; children, Chloe Gee and Tristian Moris of Marshall, TX; Chamelle Johnson of Marshall, TX, Shannon White (Clay) of Lewisville, TX and Jamarcus Johnson (Angel) of Marshall, TX; a very special nephew Jamayion (Shun) Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Wilbernette and Albert Boyd and Artelia and R.D. Johnson Jr.
