Carla L. Parks, 76, of Marshall, Texas, formally of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away at 2:40 a.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Magnolia Place in Jefferson, Texas.

She was born on November 12, 1946, in Peoria, Illinois to parents, Harold "knoot" and Jean Marquis.

She retired from Kroger's in Marshall, Texas. After retirement she stayed very active with home and DIY projects, along with making her own cookbook and playing her favorite online game, which eventually turned into a family activity. Her touch of OCD made it not only entertaining but at times, just plain hilarious. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jean Marquis; her husband of 47 years, Chester Parks and her son Robert Wagner of Gillette, Wyoming.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (John) Noe and Shelly (Galen) Coleman, both of Harleton, Texas; her sister, Judith Marquis of Florida; six grandchildren, Jonathan Noe, Michael Noe, Galen Jr (Danielle) Coleman, Christopher (Aubree) Coleman, Candace Perdue, Ashley Coleman and Shawn Wagner and 11 great grandchildren along with numerous other family and friends.

There will be no service or visitation per her request. The cremation will be conducted by Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.
