Carol Burns, 75, of Marshall was born on     November 24, 1944 to her parents, Samuel Welch and Mattifue Plemmons in Houston,   Texas. Mrs. Burns passed away on May 13, 2020 at her home in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Burns met the love of her life in Pittsburg, Texas, they moved to Marshall, Texas where they raised a loving family and built a successful business.

Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, William "Don" Burns; children, Shirley and Joe Evans, Lori and Jeff Bolyer, W.D. and Dannette Burns, Jason Burns, Rodney and Lauren Burns;  sisters-in-law, Sue Mahaffey and Brenda  Johnson; grandchildren, Joe Evans, II, Stacy Evans, Shawn and Chris Rivers, Kimberly Rangel, Steven Bolyer, Kendall Burns, Ashlyn Anderson Burns, Tate and Beau Burns; great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Aiden Rangel, Donavan Hicks, Makaila Casas, Danielle Casas, Kamrun, Joseph, Ethan, Robin, Aeidia, Breanna, and Brittany Evans, Ridge Bolyer. She also leaves to cherish her memory, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Burns is preceded in death by her mother, Mattifue Welch; sisters, Patsy Parsons, Gwen Marshall, Barbara Ann; grandson, Michael "Mikey" Evans.
