A memorial service for Mrs. Carol Sue Davis, 74, of Waskom, Texas will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Downs Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Rebecca Ponder and Minister Lataushia Rosborough will officiate the service.

Carol Davis was born on January 9, 1947 in Rusk County to her parents, Delmer Lowery and Ethel Charline Jones. Mrs. Davis passed away on April 13, 2021 at her home in Waskom, surrounded by her family.  Carol Sue loved camping, her dog Charlie, murder mysteries, and reading Danielle Steel novels. She was a member of Covenant Believers Family Church and loved her church family. Spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren, and playing wahoo were a few of her favorite past times. She was a great cook and also enjoyed a good gumbo (but her favorite was from her lovely daughter-in-law, Kellie.)

Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth J. Davis; children, James Steven "Steve" Davis and spouse Kellie, Richard DeWayne Davis, Kenneth "Wade" Davis; grandchildren, Emmaleigh Weston, Shayne Davis, Ryan Davis, Brandon Davis, Ian Davis, Lexi Chevallier; great-grandchild, Raelynn Weston; loving family, Leah Renwick, Tammy Hooker, Glen Heard, Betty Jones.

Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her parents, Delmer (Blackie) Lowery and Ethel Charline Lowery; sister, Peggy Joyce Heard; brother, Robert Earl (Butch) Lowery.
