A funeral service for Carolyn Lee, 73, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery in Harleton, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Carolyn was born on December 1, 1949, in Marshall, Texas to Jack Needham Lee, Sr. and Eugenia Gunnels Lee and passed away on October 27, 2023, in Gilmer, Texas.

She graduated Marshall High School in 1968 before attending ETBC and graduating with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught at Marshall Jr.  for 2 years before being employed at J.C. Penny's in Marshall for a number of years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Eugenia Lee.

She is survived by her brother, Jack Lee, Jr. and wife, Deborah; niece, Jennifer Sadler and nephew, Jack Needham Lee, III along with other family and friends.
