Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Gene Reeves, 52, of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday October 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Judd Strawbridge officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday October 20, 2010 at the funeral home. Carroll Gene Reeves, a beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and dear friend was taken from us on Saturday October 16, 2010. Carroll Gene Reeves was born on March 8, 1958 to Richard R. Reeves and Geraldine M. Marcell Reeves. He managed Dick's Muffler and Brake Center in Longview for 26 years. He loved classic cars, motorcycles and music. Carroll worked hard all his life and enjoyed his recreation just as heartily. He was known as a caretaker. His sense of humor and sense of fun will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving Carroll are his parents, Richard and Geraldine (Deena) Reeves, of Marshall; two daughters, Lauren Reeves, of Houston and Leslie Reeves, of Austin; one son, Charles Bradley Reeves, of Longview; two brothers, Rick Reeves, of New Braunfels and Rusty Reeves, of Tyler and one sister, Teena Liles, of Corpus Christi. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made at Chase Bank to the Carroll Reeves Memorial Fund.
