A Funeral Service for Catalina Alcantar Soto, 69, of Marshall will be held, Thursday, December 01, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home at 10:00a.m. Visitation will take place Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Rosary will begin at 6:00p.m.

Catalina Alcantar Soto was born March 09, 1947 in Angao Michoacán, Mexico to Antonio Alcantar Ramirez and Domitila Soto Herrera. For the past 18 years Catalina has lived in Marshall with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Spending with her beloved grandchildren was her favorite pastime.

Surviving Catalina are her husband, Tiburcio Baltazar-Gonzales; children, Marilu Alcaraz, Fidel Baltazar, Maria Guadalupe Salgado, Melania Baltazar, Juana Gonzales, and Alejandro Baltazar; siblings, Eliud Alcantar, Elfego Alcantar, Galdino Alcantar, David Alcantar; grandchildren,Maria Avilene Alcantar, Maria Teresa Baltazar, Casildo Baltazar, Pedro Baltazar, Fidel Baltazar, Carlos Salgado, Aracely Salgado,  Ismael Salgado, Gabriela Torres, Maria Alcaraz, Leticia Alcaraz, Jesenia Gonzales, Diana Manriquez; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Mederos, Marilyn Mederos, Oliverio Benitez, Lizet Benitez,  Yaretzy Benitez, Jacob Anguiano, and Jayden Serrano.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Nereida Baltazar, and one sister, Angelina Solórzano.
