Graveside service for Cecil H. Jones, 72, of Karnack will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Jones passed away January 15, 2013 in Marshall. Cecil H. Jones was born January 25, 1940 in Dallas, TX to Cecil Herbert and Rebecca Frances Jackson Jones. He was a service writer for Volkswagon, and later owned and operated the Lighthouse Grocery in Uncertain. Cecil Jones married Ruth Keen on his birthday 23 years ago. Mr. Jones was a member of the Church of Uncertain and the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed his time at the hunting lease, loved his great grandchildren, and loved the sound of the great grandchildren calling him Poppy. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Ruth Jones of Uncertain; daughters, Debbie Lynn and husband Gary of Rockwall, Tammy Perkins and husband Tim of Salem, MO; son, Ronnie Shipley of Royse, TX; step-daughter, Charlotte Cason of Uncertain; sister, Alice Stovall and husband Curtis of Rockwall; grandchildren, Jason Lynn and wife Danielle, Jordan and Kelsey Lynn, all of Rockwall, Julie and Jessica Perkins of Salem, MO and Nicole Ramirez of Uncertain; great grandchildren, Cypress, Aspen and Noble Darling of Uncertain; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and two step-sons Eddie and Bruce Cason.
