A graveside service for Charles "Ray Boy" Ellis, 71, of Waskom, Texas, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at New Boggy Cemetery in Bethany, Louisiana. Mr. Ellis passed away on June 7, 2023, in Longview, Texas.

Charles R. Ellis was born August 16, 1951 to James and Mamie Ellis in Waskom, Texas.

Charles attended Cary M. Abney Elementary and Waskom High. He joined the church at an early age.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mamie Ellis; niece, Jacqueline Moore; great-niece, Tameshia Hughes; aunt, Claudia Isaac.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Georgia Moore of Waskom, Texas; niece, LaTasha Moore of Marlin, Texas; great-niece, Anika Moore; great-nephews, Tralen Moore of Waskom, Texas, Jalen Moore of Waskom, Texas, Tarig Moore; a host of cousins and many friends.
