A memorial service for Charles D. Breeding, 89 of Waskom will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. Breeding passed away August 22, 2016.

Charles D. Breeding was born June 15, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky to Henry Arthur Breeding and Leona Collett Breeding. On June 11, 1949, Charles married Mary Swartz in Louisville. He served his country in the U.S. Navy serving in both WWII and the Korean War. Charles worked as a skilled tradesman for 45 years starting at General Electric. He retired from General Electric and then worked for General Motors before fully retiring.

Surviving Charles are his wife of 67 years, Mary Breeding of Waskom; two sons, Brian Breeding and his wife, Kristy of The Woodlands and Eric Breeding and his wife Judy of Longview; one grandson, Garrett Breeding of Waskom and one sister, Jackie Solomon of Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Leona Breeding.
